Welcome to our
Edler, Wallach, Keil, Fisher, Wald, and Related Families

We both have enjoyed family history hobbies since childhood. Our early interest was created and sustained by grandparents who had collected lots of information about their ancestors and family members in Germany, England and various parts of the United States.

About 1990, nearly 40 years after our marriage, our interest in family origins was sparked again and we began to dig deeper into church and courthouse records, census materials and local histories -- and to quiz all our relatives. In 1997 we began working on parts of a family history "book" titled All-People (title donated by our first grandchild, aged two) as a gift for our children, siblings, nieces and nephews. We've added and updated sections ever since.

Starting in 2000 we submitted basic information on non-living relatives to the WorldConnect project on RootsWeb. We were able to find more distant cousins and exchange more details with them. Now at the beginning of 2003 we hope to add some charts to more clearly show our direct lines up through the early 1900s on our own website. We hope that relatives will find them interesting and we'd welcome inquiries, additions and corrections from other researchers. We'll gladly share sources and more detailed information with members of the extended family.
