     William Short was a planter and trader.

He was born circa 1613 England; "At a court held in Westover 3 Mar 1655/56 in connection with the will of Major John Westrop, william Short in a deposition stated that he was 42 years old thus indicating that he was born before 3 March 1613/14". He immigrated circa 1635; Probably from western England, possibly from the Plymouth area. He married Elizabeth Symons circa 1638. William Short died before 6 April 1659 Surry Co, VA; Will proved in court, Surry Co, VA 6 Apr 1659.
Original will is now at the Virginia Historical Society.

Jeremiah Hadley Siler died on 5 February 1844 Bloomingdale, Parke Co, IN, at age 48.

     Philip Siler was said to have been a planter and slaveholder.
