     Amanda Swindell was born on 20 June 1871 DeKalb Co, TN. She married Winslow Wade Allen Jr. on 27 October 1889 White Co, TN. They had 8 children: Thurman Lee, Belledona (qv), Ethel Lou, Charlotte Martha, James Monroe, Lucy D, Robert Clayton, Nelson.. Amanda Swindell died in August 1939 DeKalb Co, TN, at age 68.
