She was buried Mason Plot, Highland Cemetery, Sparta, White Co, TN.

     Thomas Eli Mason was born on 17 September 1872 White Co, TN. He married Louverny Morris, daughter of William R. Morris and Catherine Wilhite, on 14 November 1897 White Co, TN. Thomas Eli Mason died on 29 August 1952 Sparta, White Co, TN, at age 79; Struck down by a car while crossing the road near his home. He was buried Highland Cemetary, Sparta, White Co, TN.

He probably accompanied Daniel Mathena Jr. and William Mathena between 1750 and 1752; from Baltimore Co MD via Frederick Co MD to western Fairfax Co VA which in 1757 became Loudoun Co VA.      Daniel Mathena I was a planter after 1663 on "Wentworth Woodhouse" -- land deeded to him by Thomas Wentworth -- in Chicamuxen Hundred, Charles Co MD on the south/east side of Mattawoman Creek. After 1681 due to disputes in Maryland he settled at "Hope Plantation" across the Potomac River in Stafford Co VA on the south side of Aquia Creek.

He was also known as Metteneye. He was born circa 1638 Kent, England. He married Sarah Wentworth, daughter of Thomas Wentworth, circa 1662 Charles Co, MD. They had 7 known children: Susanna, William W, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth, Daniel.. Daniel Mathena I relocated Via Surry Co, VA to Charles Co, MD before 1663. He relocated following actions against him and other protestants in Maryland who were accused of encouraging rebellion against the Catholic government of the Lords Baltimore. He apparently crossed thje Potomac River to the Virginia side where protestants were allowed to worship openly in the Church of England and where he would not be prosecuted. In doing so he may have lost the payment for sale of most of his land in Charles County Maryland due to underhanded dealing of his attorney in Maryland, which was winked at by the Maryland authorities.. circa 1681 Hope Land, Stafford Co, VA. He died on 14 October 1685 Hope Land, Overwharton Parish, Stafford Co, VA.

     Daniel Mathena Jr. was born circa 1676 Charles Co, MD. He relocated from Stafford Co VA to Baltimore Co MD, possibly via Anne Arundel Co MD before 1704. He and William Mathena relocated from Baltimore Co MD via Frederick Co MD to western Fairfax Co VA which in 1757 became Loudoun Co VA between 1750 and 1752. Daniel Mathena Jr. died before 6 August 1752 Frederick Co, MD.

     Elizabeth Mathena was also known as Matheny. She was born on 13 March 1776. She died on 27 June 1835 Bourbon Co, KY, at age 59.

     Ellender Mathena was also known as Matheny. She was born. She died in September 1838 Wayne Co, IL.

     Judah Mathena was also known as Matheny. She was also known as Judith. She was born circa 1780 VA. She married William Tyler in February 1805 Bourbon Co, KY. Judah Mathena died on 1 March 1888 Cass Co, MO.

     Mary Mathena was also known as Matheny. She was born on 14 November 1778. She married Rev. Shadrach Cole, son of Broad Cole and Elizabeth [Cole], circa 1800 Bourbon Co, KY. Mary Mathena and Rev. Shadrach Cole relocated from Bourbon Co KY to Fairfield Co OH.
Mary Mathena died in 1836 Pickaway Co, OH. She was buried Hopewell ME Church Cemetery, Madison Twp, Franklin Co, OH; located on Little Walnut Creek near near the intersection of London-Lancaster Road and Braun Road, with an access lane at 8259 Braun Road, past a private dwelling. The church building was moved some years ago.

Most graves (including the Cole family sites) in this now-unused cemetery were missing headstones at our visit in Nov 2005.

William Mathena and Daniel Mathena Jr. relocated from Baltimore Co MD via Frederick Co MD to western Fairfax Co VA which in 1757 became Loudoun Co VA between 1750 and 1752. William Mathena died Loudoun Co, VA.

     Charles Jerry Matheny died on 22 February 1987.

     Charles Reynolds Matheny was a methodist minister, and later an elected official in Illinois.

He was born on 6 March 1786 Loudoun Co, VA. He married Jemima Ogle, daughter of Joseph Ogle, in 1806. Charles Reynolds Matheny died on 10 October 1839 Springfield, Sangamon Co, IL, at age 53.

     Daniel Matheny was born in 1693 Hope Land, Stafford Co, VA. He married Mary Routt, daughter of Richard Routt and Frances Adams, circa 1712. Daniel Matheny died circa 1747 Hope Land, Stafford Co, VA.

     Daniel Matheny III was born circa 1734 Hope Land, Stafford Co, VA. He married Margaret Allen circa 1758.

     Elijah Matheny was born circa 1773 Loudoun Co, VA. He married Mary Ann Davis in 1795. Elijah Matheny died circa 1839.
