     Peyton Skipwith was a landowner, planter and state burgess in southside Virginia. He inherited an English baronetcy from his father. He acquired a large estate on the Roanoke River near Clarksville, some say in an extended poker game, from William Byrd III and built an imposing manor house which he called Prestwould after the ancestral home in Leicestershire, England. The house and gardens which he and his second wife, Jane Miller, designed and landscaped were well documented and are are now on the National Register of Historic Places. They are open to the public for tours.

     Samuel Cochran Slaymaker married Jane Elizabeth Redsecker, daughter of Samuel Redsecker and Jane Cameron Whitehill, on 26 May 1862. Samuel Cochran Slaymaker died before 1915; Jane Redsecker Slaymaker is a widow at time of writing in Vol 19 (1915) of the Journal of the Lancaster Co Historical Society.

     Samuel R. Slaymaker was the founder of the Slaymaker Lock Company, Lancaster, PA.

     Wyatt Aiken Smart was a "preacher of the spiritual gospel", teacher, author, and member of the faculty at Emory University.

He was born on 22 October 1883. He married Ethel Chappell circa 1910; age at marriage stated as 26 and 25 yrs at 1930 census. Wyatt Aiken Smart died on 8 April 1961 at age 77. He was buried Decatur City Cemetery, Decatur, DeKalb Co, GA.

     Jane Smedley was born on 20 August 1815 PA. She married Carl (Charles) Christian Gogel on 4 February 1836 West Chester Meeting, PA. They had 6 or more children: including Mary S, Margaret J, Anna E, Catharine W, Charles H (qv), William T.. Jane Smedley died on 7 August 1884 Baltimore, MD, at age 68.
