     James Sirls was born on 12 January 1832 TN; age shown as 68 yrs at 1900 census. He married Nancy M. (?). James Sirls died on 13 June 1908 Davidson Co, TN, at age 76. He was buried Collins - Sirls Cemetery, Antioch, Davidson Co, TN.

     John M. Sirls was a railroad flagman and brakeman in 1900, 1910; a farmer at the 1920 census.

     Wilkes McNairy Sirls was an owner of the Sirls-London Insurance Agency in Gallatin, TN for many years. In addition to local civic involvement, Bill did extensive volunteer work as an emergency relief organizer for the American Red Cross, travelling to and working in disaster areas across the country. He generously shared his vast knowlege of family and local history with us. He was a first cousin, once removed, of BFE.

He is often called Bill or Billy. He was born on 13 December 1924 Antioch, Davidson Co, TN. He married Suzanne Sandidge, daughter of Kent Sandidge Jr. and Mildred Adele Regen, on 28 February 1947. Wilkes McNairy Sirls died on 8 October 2006 Sumner Co, TN, at age 81. He was buried Sumner Memorial Gardens, Gallatin, Sumner Co, TN.

     Grey Skipwith was born circa 1622 Prestwould, Coates, Leicestershire, England. He immigrated circa 1655; to Virginia during the commomwealth in England after the family estates were taken and/or sold. He died circa 1680 Lancaster Co, VA.

     Henry Skipwith was a member of parliament and fervent royalist from Leicestershire, he inherited a baronetcy from his father but lost his estates after the fall of the monarchy. It is said that the manor of Prestwould was purchased by Sir Christopher Packe, Lord Mayor of London. At least two of Henry's children left England for (still) Tory Virginia. Others dispersed.
