     William High was born circa 1797 NC. He married Mildred Petty, daughter of William Petty and Lavinia Dillard, circa 1828 TN. William High died circa 1862; in the War Between the States.

     Nathan Hildebrand married Nellie J. Selby, daughter of William Thomas Lyles Selby and Sarah C. Ricketts.

     John Hildebrandt was born in 1799. He married Lydia Albaugh, daughter of Abraham Albaugh and Eve Margaret Adams, on 5 October 1824 Frederick, Frederick Co, MD. They had perhaps 9 children: Amanda, William, Lewis A, Ann Sophia, Louisa (qv), John, Lydia, Laura, Joshua. John Hildebrandt died on 27 June 1875 Frederick Co, MD.

     Louisa Hildebrandt was born on 16 February 1834 Frederick Co, MD. She married Hiram R. Hargett on 17 December 1855 Frederick Co, MD. They had 5 children: Janetta C (qv), Alfred C, Ida C, Charles (qv).. Louisa Hildebrandt died on 27 December 1861 at age 27.

     Her married name was Hargett. Margaret A. S. Hildebrandt was born circa 1829 MD. She married Hiram R. Hargett.

     Birdye Fay Hill was born on 22 February 1901 Jeffers, Cottonwood Co, MN. She married Ollie Burton Threet, son of William Giles Thweatt and Roanne Williamson Thweatt Wall, on 10 July 1915.

     Henrietta Margaret Hill was born Anne Arundel Co, MD. She married Benjamin Ogle, son of Samuel Ogle II and Anne Tasker, on 13 September 1770 "Belair", Prince George's Co, MD. They had 4 children: Ann (qv), Sanuel, Benjamin II, Mary.. Henrietta Margaret Hill died on 14 August 1815 Annapolis, MD.

     Lena A. Hill was born on 22 December 1883. She married Lee William Badger, son of Walter Ambrose Badger and Emma Annabelle Pool, Logan Co, OH. Lena A. Hill died in July 1972 Houston, Harris Co, TX, at age 88; last residence.

     Her married name was Bosley. Mary Elizabeth Hill married Walter Bosley.

     Perry Anderson Hill married Talitha (?). Perry Anderson Hill was born.

     Sarah Hill married William Walker.

     William L. Hill was born on 6 June 1835. He married Clarinda Margaret Cole, daughter of Stephen Alson Cole and Anna Magdalene Glick, on 20 November 1859. They had about 10 children: Henry A, John L, William M, Oron A, Joseph E, Franklin T, Perry A (qv), Anna Hill Kerns, Emma Hill Kemper, Rosalie Hill Brinser..
William L. Hill died on 3 July 1880 at age 45.

     Alma Hiller was born in April 1894 WI.

     August Hiller was a harness maker in Plymouth, Sheboygan Co WI, and lived there for 63 years. He had a harness shop on Mill Street.

He was born on 25 July 1846 Breslau, Schlesien, Preussen. He married Jennie Berger, daughter of Berthold Berger, on 15 June 1872 Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI. August Hiller survived Jennie Berger on 1 July 1922. August Hiller died on 2 June 1930 at his home on Mill Street, Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI, at age 83. He was buried Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI.

     Bertha Hiller was born on 19 May 1885 Barton, Washington Co, WI. She married Edward F. Ramel on 27 October 1906 Immanuel Lutheran Church, Scott Twp, Sheboygan Co, WI. They had 3 children: including Melvin R. Ramel. Bertha Hiller died on 19 October 1960 St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend, Washington Co, WI, at age 75. She was buried Immanuel Lutheran Church, Scott Twp, Sheboygan Co, WI.

     Carl Wilhelm Hiller was a farmer in Scott Township, Sheboygan Co Wisconsin.

He was born circa 1799 Preussen; age shown as 81 yrs at 1880 census. He married Christiane Janisch. Carl Wilhelm Hiller married Elisabeth Hahn. Carl Wilhelm Hiller immigrated on 3 September 1860; Bark DORETTE, Bremen to New York, debarking 3 Sep 1860.

Germans To America volumes covering a 15 year period from 1850 - 1964 were searched by us for a family matching that of Carl Hiller/Heller without success. Mrs Ruth G. Rasch actually found them, spelled "Miller" in Volume 13, arriving in New York about five days after the family of Carl Keil and Christianna Hiller. Her examination of a photocopy of the original handwritten list confirmed a probable misreading by the researcher for the book.

On the ship DORETTE from Bremen to New York, arriving 3 September 1860:

" According to the New York Herald, the Bremen Bark DORETTE, [Joh. Hinr.] Gätjen, master, arrived at New York on Saturday, 1 September, from Bremen 22 July 1860, with merchandise and 65 passengers, to master. 'Had light N winds first and middle parts of passage and light W winds in latter part . . . took pilot in lat. 41 04, lon. 66 from boat EDMUND BLUNT.' U.S. Customs officials at New York did not work on Saturday afternoons or Sundays, so the passenger manifest was signed, and the vessel officially 'entered in' on the following Monday, 3 September 1860.

"The bark DORETTE was built by Hermann Friedrich Ulrichs, in Vegesack/Fähr, for the firm of Karl Pokrantz & Co., Bremen, and was launched on 3 November 1855. 242 ommerzlasten/503 tons register; 40,5 x 9,0 x 5,1 meters (length x beam x depth of hold); international Signal Code QBLS. In 1870, the DORETTE was sold Norwegian, to H. Chr. Grön, of Lunden and renamed NORDSTJERNEN. In 1880 the Bark was purchased L. G. S. Larsen of Hauan (Sandefjord). In 1904 the NODRSTJERNEN ex DORETTE, after 48 years of service, was condemned in Lisbon and sold for scrapping."

No picture of the DORETTE has been found, but a painting ascribed to Oltmann Jaburg of the slightly larger (602 tons register) bark EDUARD, built by the same firm and launched on 22 May 1857 is available. (see exhibit).

They had 7 children: 3 daughters, 3 sons survived Charles' death in 1936; one daughter predeceased him. Charles Hiller died on 30 April 1936 Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI, at age 70. He was buried Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI.

     Clara Hiller was born in December 1874 Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI. She married H. J. Korte. Clara Hiller died Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI.

     Daisy Hiller was born circa April 1886 WI.

     Dorothea Hiller was born in October 1848 Preussen; age shown as 71 yrs at 1920 census. She married Frederick Voelksen circa 1871; married 29 yrs at 1900 census.

     Emanuel Hiller was a worker in a furniture factory in Sheboygan City at the 1900 census.

     Emma Hiller was born on 6 October 1884 Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI. She died on 10 November 1932 Plymouth, Sheboygan Co, WI, at age 48.

     Ernst Gottlieb Hiller was a farmer in Scott Twp, Sheboygan Co WI, later near Barton, Washington Co WI, where worked as a butcher in 1910.

He was born on 27 November 1835 Hünern, Schlesien, Preussen; (Age shown as 62 at 1900 census, birth date given as Nov 1837). He married Charlotte Dettman, daughter of Wilhelm Dettman, on 18 November 1874 Sheboygan Co, WI. Ernst Gottlieb Hiller survived Charlotte Dettman before 1900; Ernst shown as a widower at 1900 census. Ernst Gottlieb Hiller died on 4 January 1916 WI at age 80. He was buried Union Cemetery, West Bend, Washington Co, WI.

     Henry Hiller was born on 24 December 1865 Sheboygan Co, WI. He married Emma Heesler on 5 January 1892 Fillmore, Washington Co, WI. Henry Hiller died on 24 November 1961 Sheboygan, Sheboygan Co, WI, at age 95. He was buried Union Cemetery, Fillmore, Washington Co, WI.

     Herman Hiller was a farmer in Farmington Twp, Washington Co WI.

He married Minnie (?). Herman Hiller was born circa December 1859 Preussen; age shown as 39 yrs at 1900 census; noted as 10 months of age on the arrival passenger list, 3 September 1860.

     Irene Mary Hiller was born on 10 October 1898 Sheboygan Co, WI. She married Porter E. Radcliffe. Irene Mary Hiller died on 27 June 1973 Waukesha Co, WI, at age 74.
